- 3"x 3"x 2" cardboard box
- Spanish moss
- bloody finger (I bought 5 bloody fingers at the Dollar Tree for a buck!)
- cardstock
- Martha Stewart skull border punch
- Stickles
- Tim Holtz distress ink in vintage photo
- Picture of my adorable nephew eating beets
I first painted the boxes black with acrylic paint. Then I printed out this Halloween design on orange cardstock. I added stickles in gold as a border. For the sides, I cut a 1" strip of the orange cardstock and layered the black Martha Stewart punch over it. Then I finished the sides with more stickles.
For the invitation, I printed the info on cardstock. I was able to fit 6 on 1 sheet. Instead of cutting them apart, I just tore them to give it that distressed look.
Next I used my distress ink in Vintage Photo and an inking tool. You can also use a makeup sponge. Ink the paper in circular motion. This does not have to be perfect. Messy looks better.
Here I am inking the edges. This will give it that old paper effect. Make sure to make the edges darker, and again, not perfect. Then just roll it up and tie it with a string.
My sister took a picture of my nephew eating beets, and right away I thought this would be perfect for the invitations! I also added a little note beneath all that "blood". "I saved you a bite!" Lol! Creepy!! I LOVE it!!
