Alice In Wonderland Birthday Party!

This has to be one of my favorite themes for a kids birthday party. There are so many different elements in Alice in Wonderland which allows you to get super creative. I really only had 1 week to make the decorations for this party, so I left out a lot of stuff. But this is what I came up with.

I made these Queen of Hearts soldiers. I used white cardboard for the body and cut out different sizes of heart shapes out of red and white cardstock to create the faces. Then I simply cut strips of red cardstock to create the arms. Then made a small loop on one end to make it look like they are holding the spear.

Below are the Crepe-Paper Roses by Martha Stewart. These are so beautiful but very time consuming. I followed the directions on making the roses, then i added leaves to the stems. I also painted the flower pots with acrylic paint, and to add that touch of queen of hearts, I added a few playing cards.
The Cheshire Cat smile was a last minute project. I had seen this idea on a pinterest picture and I thought it was just adorable! So I had some extra white cardstock left over, and I quickly drew and cut out the smile. Super cute!!

I made these cupcake tags using a scallop circle punch, a butterfly punch, and printed 'Eat Me' on white paper.

The party favors!! Used paper bags, a doily, mini playing cards, and a flower. Simple and cute!

For the banner, I folded cardstock accordion style, then connected them to shape a circle. I glued a doily in the center, and cut out the letters on white cardstock.

I love the signs on the tree! I didn't get too creative with these, but it just added that extra touch of the Alice in Wonderland theme!

Here is another Martha Stewart project. The pom poms are a must for any type of party! I hope you enjoyed my pictures and ideas! Please leave a comment below and like my Facebook page! Have a wonderful day!!!

  5. Great party favors. I'm trying to do the queen of hearts soldiers and was wondering what dimensions you used for the arms? Is that also made from scrapbooking cardstock (like 12x12)? How did you get the left arm to lay that way?
