DIY Ruffled Lamp Shade

If you love to redo furnishings and DIY projects, then you will love how easy this one is. One of my favorite things to do is to give furniture a makeover. I love to shop for these items at yard sales, thrift stores, craigslist, or flea markets.

Here is a before and after picture of a lamp shade that I revamped. I just love the way it turned out! I saw this lamp at a thrift store and thought if I gave it a little makeover, it would be perfect for my daughter's nursery.

Here is what you will need for this project.
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Ruffled trim
  • Iron (If the ruffle needs to be ironed)
  • Lamp shade

First thing I did was remove the green polka dot layer. I was left with a simple white shade.

Then simply hot glue rows of the ruffle trim until the entire shade is covered. You could just leave it like this, but why not make it even more girly, right?

Here is my finished product after gluing three flowers to it. It looks so feminine and chic. Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Have an awesome weekend!!
